As a core competence centre of the Robocoast DIH, UC Kokkola’s focus areas are: Wireless Sensor Networks & IoT, Smart Environment (smart & sustainable manufacturing, monitoring of industrial processes etc), industrial sector includes Chemical & Metal Industry, and Mining. UC Kokkola participates in a wide variety of projects related to different technologies that aid industry and SMEs in digital transformation.

Arctic Drone Labs is a European Commission accredited Digital Innovation Hub (DIH) and coordinated by Oulu University of Applied Sciences (Oamk). It is also part of the Allied ICT Finland network and member of Finnish National RPAS Association and Association of Finnish Defence and Aerospace Industries (AFDA). Arctic Drone Labs focuses primarily on unmanned aircraft and urban air mobility.

Turku Science Park Ltd. and University of Turku have both collaborated with Robocoast in various projects. They have two Digital Innovation hubs: Health DIH and the Maritime DIH. In Robocoast, they specialize in Artificial Intelligence training for businesses and start-ups.

South-Eastern Finland University of Applied Sciences launched a master’s programme in cyber security in 2017 and a bachelor’s programme in 2019. From the very beginning, cyber security education has focused on operational cyber security, including various laboratory exercises.

Centria is a core competence centre of the Robocoast DIH, which focuses on R&D laboratories, and cybersecurity and robotics. We offer services and training for the industrial sector, SMEs in West-Coast of Finland, and other partners in DIH/EDIH network. The main focus of our work is the development of technology transfer concept to make the utilisation of robotics easier for companies.
