30 Ways to Activate Students
Students learn best when they are active. Teaching should not be based on lecturing, but on discussion, searching information together, games and collaboration. In this course, I will introduce you some student-centred, activating teaching methods that we are using in Finland.
Your instructor is me, Kati Keski-Mäenpää. I have a doctoral degree in education with a focus on pedagogy and teacher training, I am also a primary school teacher.
What you’ll learn?
After completing the course, you’ll be able to activate your students both physically and cognitively. You know several tools, activities and plays that you can use during the lessons to make your students motivated and active.
Work your way through the all the course material in the order that it is displayed on the page. This way you will start with the basics and then move on to the more challenging topics. It should take you less than 3 hours to complete this course.
How to pass?
To pass this course, you will need to watch the videos and leave your comments during the course. You will also need to give us some feedback at the end of the course. Once all those parts are completed and we have received your feedback, the certificate will be issued to you.
