How to survive in Finnish nature
Basics on survival in the Finnish forests
The How to Survive in Finnish nature Micro Course takes you to different parts of Finland from the sea to Lakeland and from the forests to the fells of Lapland. During this course, you will find out how diverse the Finnish nature is and learn how to be able to experience it by yourself.
This Micro Course provides you with all necessary information on how to make it through your first forest hikes by yourself. We will cover essential topics from the history of the lakes to how to safely start a campfire in the forest. You will be introduced to everyone’s rights in Finland.
This Micro Course consists of 7 parts which include videos, links, activating tasks and quizzes. The workload on this course is approximately 10 hours.

Completing this course involves 3 mandatory tests and 1 mandatory course feedback. Please go them through in the order of the Content page. This way you start with the basics and move on to the more challenging topics.
The Micro Course is assessed on the scale Pass/Fail. Receiving a certificate via email requires completing all mandatory activities, and at least 50% of them correctly.
