What is Robocoast?
Robocoast was granted the Digital Innovation Hub (DIH) status by the European Commission in 2017. The Robocoast Consortium is a network of RDI organizations that is kickstarting digital transformation in industry. The consortium brings together 15 top Finnish universities to pool knowledge and resources. European Digital Innovation Hubs (EDIHs) function as one-stop shops that help companies dynamically respond to digital challenges and assist them to become more competitive in the modern world.
The Robocoast Consortium aims to modernize the manufacturing export industry by applying digital solutions to promote sustainable growth and competitiveness. Robocoast has high-level expertise in cybersecurity, robotics, energy technologies, sustainable manufacturing, and artificial intelligence and the Internet of Things. Robocoast has strong know-how and well-designed services to support companies in applying new digital technologies for developing processes, products, and services.
As a European Digital Innovation Hub our mission is to support companies to make use of new digital solutions. However, there is no point to adopt new solutions if you cannot be sure how they will affect your business or what strategic advantages new digital technologies can offer your company. Additionally, companies do not want marketing material for technological solutions, but rather require objective expert opinions that are applicable to their unique needs. This is especially true nowadays as companies often have even less time to participate in different training events, which might note even be useful for them in the end.
To address this gap, we developed this education concept in partnership with Edufication targeted at European manufacturing companies. We want to offer the latest knowledge about new digital technologies from top Finnish experts and universities, objectively and for free. In this way, companies can brief their employees on different technological concepts and solutions, regardless of the time and place.
The informational units in this concept contain summarised information about Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, Smart Measurement Systems, and Drones. We will not make you an expert in any specific technological field. Instead, we will provide you with a solid overview of the different types of possibilities offered by new digital technologies and give you the knowledge of how you might be able to use them in your own business.
This educational concept is being improved as the Robocoast consortium grows and develops its core competence centers. We will update these pages in the future with more information about our services and expertise.

The Robocoast DIH Consortium is accelerating digital transformation in many different industries and fields, but is especially concentrated on the exporting manufacturing industry and technology industry. We believe that Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, Smart Measurement Systems and Drones are key themes for manufacturing companies to gain increased effectiveness and promote sustainable, green growth for their business.
